I consider myself an interdisciplinary artist working in a wide range of different mediums such as; ‘computer graphics’, ‘virtual reality', ‘painting’ and ‘photography’. Originally, I began my art career as an oil painter but I am currently working primarily with CGI. As a traditional artist, my work was concerned with telling stories through staged cinematic scenes, and my interest in Computer Graphics began when I wanted to take full control of the narrative of my oil paintings and begin creating these digital environments that could be used as references for my traditional work. Delving into this new interest I become more and more impressed with the capabilities of what CGI could do in terms of storytelling. I have always had an interest in games and movies and the CGI within them. I always attributed CGI to these other forms of media and not so much to the Fine Arts. Recently I have begun looking into how CGI can be used in a gallery sense and rather than being used on a large-scale production, what if it is used for a single frame.
